Calling all PostgreSQL community events and meet-up organizers, we need you! Come and share how you made your events a success, share what didn't work for you, share the ideas that you want to try.
There is a mini-conference for conference organizers on the Community Events Day of PGConf.EU 2025 in Riga, Latvia.
Heck yeah!
We're making an open Call for Sessions, to hear from you all and to help us all!
We want suggestions for sessions in a range of formats to cover topics like:
- tried out new session formats
- bring tips and tricks from non-Postgres events
- cracked the code to creating an accessible event
- an excellent understanding of the PG EU conference system
- support diversity in new and successful ways
- run events on an extremely tight budget
- run events on a tight deadline
- are the stepping stone for new speakers
- promoting and marketing events / meetups
- growing your membership base
- things you tried which went a bit awry
- recruiting volunteers for organization, speaker selection, etc
As part of your submission(s), provide some details about how you would like to run your session: be it a simple talk, a collaborative group ideation session, a birds of a feather type thing, or maybe a short workshop. Whatever you think would work best for your session proposal.
The only constraint is that sessions will all be 20 minutes long, so think about what you and the audience can achieve together in that time and the best way for that to happen.
Please submit your proposals until September 15!
Sadly we cannot cover your entry to the Community Events Day, so make sure that you purchase access when registering for PGConf.EU 2025, to be able to come to the Community Organizers Conference.
